K2 CNC Router – Mach 3 – Guitar Body – Cutting Guitar

Posted: 24 Jun 2010 09:18 PM PDT

This is a K2 CNC router cutting a guitar body. A Colombo spindle is used. The project uses roughing and finish passes. The bit cuts a depth of 1.5 inches. This project takes about 13 minutes. This was a test or demo run with little enhancements of the program to make the cutting faster. I am sure a Luthier can make the project cut faster. The KG-3925-GC machine is often used for inlay, body, necks, 3D and 2D cutting also. The machine runs about $15000, but basic machine starts at about $11500. A similar machine will be a NAMM 2008.

www.TransAlchemy.com – Terence McKenna and Lorenzo discuss artificial intelligence Edited frrom 229-Trialogue: “The Evolutionary Mind” Part 2 (Posted: Wed, 19 May 2010 21:02:36 GMT) “This is a continuation of the last Trialogue that was held between Rupert Sheldrake, Ralph Abraham, and Terence McKenna. This session is kicked off by Terence McKenna who shifts the focus to The Evolutionary Mind AND the Machines. A couple of his comments include: “What is important about nature is that it is information. And the real tension is not between matter and spirit, or time and space, the real tension is between information and nonsense.” And, “Vast amounts of the world that we call human is already under the control of artificial intelligences, including very vital parts of our political and social dynamo.” Then Ralph and Rupert try to pin him down on a few inconsistencies. Following the trialogue I have added a short comment by Bruce Damer regarding the technical impossibility of uploading one’s consciousness to a computer any time in the foreseeable future.” feedproxy.google.com www.matrixmasters.com Includes music by Sheep on Drugs.

Terence McKenna advocated the exploration of altered states of mind via the ingestion of naturally occurring psychedelic substances. For example, and in particular, as facilitated by the ingestion of high doses of psychedelic mushrooms, and DMT, which he believed was the apotheosis of the psychedelic experience. He spoke of the “jeweled, self-dribbling basketballs” or “self-transforming machine elves” that one encounters in that state. Although he avoided giving his allegiance to any one interpretation (part of his rejection of monotheism), he was open to the idea of psychedelics as being “trans-dimensional travel”; literally, enabling an individual to encounter what could be aliens, ancestors, or spirits of earth.[8] He remained opposed to most forms of organized religion or guru-based forms of spiritual awakening. Philosophically and religiously, he expressed admiration for Marshall McLuhan, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, Gnostic Christianity, Alfred North Whitehead, Alchemy, and
